Delphiniums – Queen of the Border

At Home Farm Plants (Bovingdon) we are passionate about Delphiniums and have built up a specialist Delphinium section.

Our Delphiniums are the Elatum species which are tough, hardy perennials. They can withstand very cold winter temperatures and are reliable garden perennials. We not only have the traditional blues, but different shades of pinks, purples, white and cream, all flowering from the end of May through to September, on the Nursery for you to see.

Named varieties are taken from cuttings from January/February onwards and will be available from the Nursery from June onwards. Numbers are very limited dependent on variety so please contact us for a full list of varieties and their availability. Have a look at our Gallery.

Delphinium Orders

As our Elatum Delphiniums are produced from cuttings, we can only produce as many plants as our stock plants allow. This means that some varieties may sell out quicker than others. If the variety you want is sold out we do take delphinium orders which can be collected from the Nursery (unfortunately we do not currently provide a mail order service). Payment for these orders is not taken until the plant is collected from the Nursery.
